The Prata, or Silver, is in a straw-wrapped bottled, handmade entirely by local women. The Prata is clear in color and aged for two years in Brazilian Freijo wood barrels. Cachaca is a genuine Brazilian beverage produced through the fermentation of pure sugar cane juice. Established in 1846, Ypioca is the largest estate producer of Cachaca in Brazil, and produces the only cask aged Cachaca on the market. Cachaca is the key ingredient in the legendary caipirinha cocktail.  The name Ypioca comes from the indigenous Tupi-Guarani language, and translates to ”red earth,” alluding to the fertile soil conducive to farming cane sugar.
